Function:

  1. Removes Contaminants: Removes submicronic oil, water droplets, and solid contaminants from compressed air, ensuring clean and reliable operation of pneumatic systems.

Precautions:

  1. Direction of Flow: Note the direction of flow before installation and connect piping accordingly to ensure proper operation.
  2. Flush Piping: Flush piping for dirt, dust, rust, and other foreign particles before installation.
  3. Clean Atmosphere: Install the air filter in a clean atmosphere to prevent contamination.
  4. Thread Sealing: Use nipples of taper threads (R) with Teflon tape, ensuring the tape does not enter the unit during tightening. Use nipples of straight threads (G) with a sealing washer.
  5. Bowl Material Caution: Polycarbonate bowls may get damaged if exposed to certain chemicals. Avoid exposure to synthetic oils, solvents, kerosene, or aromatic hydrocarbons.
  6. Mounting: Mount the mist separator in line, preferably next to a standard air filter series F1 with a 5-micron filter element for optimal performance.
