C.I. Y-Strainers – IBR
The C.I. Y-Strainers – IBR is engineered to deliver efficient filtration of steam, water, and oil in industrial applications. Featuring a robust 18/8% Cr/Ni Stainless Steel screen, this strainer ensures durability and reliability in capturing unwanted particles and debris from fluid streams.
It offers versatility in installation with options for both flanged BS-10 Table ‘F’ ends and BSP female threads, allowing seamless integration into different piping systems. With a maximum working pressure of 150 PSIG and a maximum working temperature of 220°C, it is capable of handling demanding operating conditions with ease.
The strainer’s design incorporates several key features for enhanced performance and ease of maintenance. It boasts a large screening area for high filtration efficiency and stability, with the screen guided both in the body and cover. This design ensures optimal filtration while maintaining structural integrity, suitable for installation in both vertical and horizontal lines.
Moreover, the fine finish and smooth contours of the flow path minimize pressure drop, optimizing fluid flow efficiency. In larger sizes, a drain plug is provided to facilitate the removal of accumulated foreign particles, simplifying maintenance procedures and ensuring continuous operation.
Certified with an IBR Test Certificate in FORM III-C, duly signed by the Director of Boilers, Punjab, for strainers used on steam service, this C.I. Y-Strainer meets regulatory standards for safety and performance. For liquid service, the strainer comes with its own Works Test Certificate, providing assurance of quality and reliability.
